2017 Volunteer Trip To South Africa

Itinerary
The seventh Rotary Volunteer trip to South Africa will take place in Welkom South Africa.
-
The Volunteers will work for 10 days at the Dunamis Christian School on a selected project.

The project will draw on a range of skills from the team and produce a tangible work product.

Work on the project will commence in Australia with fundraising, design and planning.

The project is divided into two 5-day phases with a break of 2 days at a wild-life park.
-
Members are responsible for their own transport arrangements before and after the trip.

SCHEDULE
2nd - 6th September
Phase 1 of project for 5 days
7th and 8th September Free Weekend
Optional day trip to Clarens in the Orange Free State is available.
29th August
Meet at a Johannesburg Airport at 1000 am for departure to Sun City
29th August to 1st September
Stay at Sun City Lodge (including a Briefing with Doreen - CEO of Dunamis School) and including one exciting safari game night-drive to the Pilansberg Game Reserve
2nd September
Commence project activity from 0800 to 1700
9th-13th September
Phase 2 of project for 5 days
14th September
Closing Dinner
15th September
Return to Johannesburg Airport arriving 1200 -Own arrangements for return flights
